Anoyne have any suggestions?? sell it or new tranny?
I have an 03 base. I just hit 110,000 miles its starting to grind going into third. But i just put new rims and tires, 18% tint all the way, new LED lights, and a new sound system. Should I sell it or swap the tranny with a new one?
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!
Itll be hard to sell a car with a messed up trans. See what the dealer will give up if you wanted to trade for another z with less miles otherwise i dont see you getting much more than 7k for your current car.
I'd get that CD009 trans in there and see how you like your car afterwards. Maybe even put in a new motor if it still bugs you. If you want to give up, car dealers will always buy from you to get a sale from you trading in and buying something from them, granted your car still runs.

I would think most trannies wouldn't care how many miles are on your car?
Oh… nevermind. I understand now.
You need to just buy a new transmission and replace it - as said above go ahead with the CD009. Or wait until October and I'll sell you my engine and transmission all together as a single dropout for the friend price.

Buy a new CD009 or a used CD009. Z1 sells them for 1600 and you can probably get an install for 600-800. Get new a clutch and flywheel while you're at it. Then report back when you hit 210k.
