Window motor blown (?!?!) on a 2008 !!
it's probably just full of grease, my 2003 G the driver side started dying after being real sluggish for months, didn't even have to buy a new one, i took it apart cleaned out with a toothbrush all the nasty gunk and sludge hairballs n whatnot, and it's been working perfectly since, and that was about 2.5 years ago, still fine to this day
i suggest you pay $0 and try cleaning it first, nothing to lose, good luck

Well after numerous phone calls, emails and a trip to my local Nissan Dealer, I can finaly report that it was all totally in vain.
Nissan Consumer Affairs (North America) did a lot of head nodding and agreeing about how shocking it was that a motor should fail (like on so many other 350Z’s) but when it came to the crunch ....... Sorry….. your warranty is for 36 months (for a reason) and its expired … tough luck old boy !!
Anybody up for a ‘Class Action’ ?

after lots of emails, phone calls and dealer visits, I bit the bullet and paid the original dealer I bought the car from, to replace the window motor.
Nissan quoted me + $650 (what !!!) ....... but I ended up paying $350 (including a 20% discount).
Moral or the story...... not really sure !!
