Window motor blown (?!?!) on a 2008 !!
I bought my 350Z touring 3 weeks ago and was back at the dealers today due to complete failure of the passenger side window. Dealer said its not covered on the warrenty he provides (surprise surprise... ) but its a know issue with 350Z ?!?!?
While the service guy was looking at the car/ window he managed to advance the regulator/ motor and the window is now fully operational again. However, he did say he though the motor had a dead spot on it (reason for the failure) and it was only a matter of time till it happened again .....
I'm I being fed a huge pile of BS... and has anybody had any joy going back to Nissan and kicking up a fuss about a 2008, 39,000 mile window motor failure ?
Estimated repair inc labor ... $500 .....

It took me 2-3 hours just taking my time so I didn't **** it up. Even if you don't know anything about cars you can do this. You'll replace it every 4-5 years.

update ... Nissan ‘Consumer Affairs' called me....
... on the advice of the Main dealer I bought the car from (not Nissan) I contacted Nissan North America, Inc (via their web site) and ‘requested support for a repair’.
To my surprise, I received a call from a Nissan ‘Consumer Affairs Representative’ today (2 days after posting original note), who have now created a ‘case number’ for the issue and asked me to take the car to my local Nissan dealership for evaluation (?!?!?!).
No idea where this is going ... but I get the feeling Nissan Inc. know these motors are sh*te.
Watch this space…..
