Good Day all.. was driving a week or so ago& Engine Check light came on, the face is out of factory warranty, 2006 Manual checked the codes & got -

P0340 camshaft position sensor a circuit/ bank 1

P1078 exhaust valve timing circuit bank 1

P0014 Exhaust B camshaft position timing - over advanced bank 1

has anyone dealt with these problems before?

The car will sometimes turn off while driving, the idle jumps up and down from 500-1600 Rpm.

 

If you're lucky its just the Bank 1 Exhaust Cam Sensor. Mileage?

 

Rough diagnosis off the top of my head... like the person above me... Cam Position Sensor is failing. Should be a cheap fix if you can find a Z in a junkyard.

 

As stated above - change the cam sensor first. Then clear codes and see if the others come back.

The cam sensor is a common replacement item.

Correct, pass side. The sensors are the same part but one has an angled connector.
