Default Cars been sitting

Hey guys,

My cars been sitting for 4 1/2 months and has been preserved properly. I put in fresh synthetic oil before storing it and Im wondering if I should change it prior to starting it back up. Im only going to be home a week, so probably less than than 100 miles of driving, if that matters. Should I change it? Thanks

If its full synthetic yea you can go longer but I like to play it safe because unless you use the right oil filter it makes no sense. Case and point amsoil there oil outlast every filter till now

If you put in fresh oil before storing the car, you are wasting your money to change it now. I would drive the car for the week you are home and put it back in storage. Change the oil after you have driven for awhile. I put about 3,000 miles per year on my Z and change the oil once each year.

Do not forget to change your gasoline also. Drain the old one from the system.

Your car should be good to go with the fuel for a year if you put Sta-Bil in the tank. You should have no problems when you fire it up. Since I put so few miles on my Z, I add Sta-Bil every time I fill my tank. I've never had a problem with fuel if the car sits for two or three months without being driven. I also keep it on a Battery Tender at all times.

I used Sta-Bil when i preserved it. Is there anything else I should do before starting this thing back up besides bringing back to drivable status?

Nope. Drive away. Some people get real worried over these things. You're fine. 4.5 months really isn't that long to be sitting, especially since you used Sat-Bil as well.
