Default OEM Clutch, Fidanza Flywheel, and Tranny grinding between gears...

Hi all,, I could not find a post addressing this issue directly. I have an MT '03 Z, replaced the clutch and flywheel about 20k miles ago. Originally put an Exedy stage 3 clutch on it paired with a fidanza flywheel. The clutch proceeded to become non functional in 8k miles (bad part?!?). Either way, I had the dealer replace that with an OE Nissan clutch. (This worked well, no grinding between gear changes at all). Fast forward 10k more miles,, the transmission blew out (lost 2nd and 6th gear). Grinding btw gear shifts started about 2k miles in the gears aforementioned before I lost those completely. I had a used/rebuilt tranny put in, which has a 12mo/12k mile warranty on it from the dealer. I have driven it now about 4k miles. The grinding while shifting in between the gears began to occur in 2nd and 6th gear (again, coincidentally), and now has progressed to occur when shifting into every gear. Downshifting has no grind associated with it. The dealer now is saying that my flywheel is the root cause of the issue, and the fact that the flywheel is not a matched part to the clutch I am using is causing the issue, and furthermore causing damage to the new transmission, and also probably hastened the demise of my old transmission. This line of arguement, if true, basically voids them of any responsibility to fix it later if the tranny drops on me again within the warranty period. Either way, I am trying to figure out if this flywheel arguement has any validity to it. I am planning on taking the car for a check up at 2 Japanese specific garages to have them look at it for a 2nd opinion. Any help here would be great.

Thanks,

K

try adjusting the clutch pedal? its utter ******** what they are saying as long as the friction surface is good the clutch will grab it. now if the surface isnt good then they failed to inform you upon replacing the parts and they would not only be responsible for ANOTHER trans, but another clutch as well if you deemed it appropriate mayby even get them to pay for new flywheel insert.

technically dealerships are not legally allowed to mess with aftermarket parts due to liability issues. working at general motors dealerships we couldnt even put SLP parts on cars, and SLP is as close with gm as stillen is with nissan, parts dont even void the warrenty but a gm dealership cant legally install them because insurance wont cover any problems if the owner wrecks the car.

My 03 tranny stock flywheel, aftermarket clutch, has started grinding between every gear.

This isn't an isolated problem. I wonder is there is anything we can do to get Nissan to step up and take responsibility for their garbage transmissions.
