Overfuelling on one bank - ECU?
My car was in and both heads were overhauled. I also bought a complete gasket set for fitment which I gave to the Nissan dealership to use. When they first started it it drove only on 3 cylinders which then turned out to be bank 1 which was working. After numerous other things the engineer came in to set the timing chains, which was done perfectly.
The timing is good, the compression is 100%. I even unmarried my UpRev tune just for them to work on the stock ECU. It is a NA motor with intake and plenum spacer only.
All the wiring was also checked and found to be 100%
When it idles you just smell petrol. They also told me it gets slightly better if it idles for a while, but nowhere near std.
Now apparantly it is possible that some chip could've blown on the ecu that controls this. The car was 100% driven to them the morning to fit braided brake lines and clutch line and to check the water leak. The water leak was the head gasket, hence me buying a new set. No damage to the heads or anything else.
What do you think?
