ECM reprogram and O2 sensor blues
Just wanted to share my less then happy experience at the stealership.
Background
2004 350z enthusiast 39,000 actual miles.
One day the SES light pops on. I scanned and got the 1051 1168 codes. Almost a year goes by before I decide to do something about it. (this car doesn't get driven much as you can see)
With the help of this forum and the internet I find the related TSB for these codes. Great ECM reprogram called the parts department and crossed my VIN it was a match for the issue.
Well I get there today and the work is done and the light is still on.
Now my issue is my own laziness as when I got the feathered tires recalled (thanks to my350z) one was put on backwards. had that fixed 15.00 no biggie.
The TSB calls for .08 of an hour I get to pay for 1 full hour as warranty work is different then paying customers. I'm angry I need to pay for anything that has a software issue that no one but a guy with a CONSULT can fix.
I'm not happy about 20$ worth of shop supplies. There are no shop supplies with a program of an ecu.
Now apparently my O2's are bad AT 39,000miles is that even possible??
sorry just mad and got nowhere with the service advisor. I didn't get porked as bad as some but this is frustrating
I'm ordering some o2's will keep you posted on the outcome.
