Hello my350z members,
So recently I have been stricken by the notorious synchro problem in 2003 350z's. I do have the knowledge and tools to repair the transmission my self but my question is. Will it be worth repairing the 3rd gear synchro with a replacement synchro for 45$ or are the early 03 transmissions just totally hopeless and not worth repairing so I should just replace with the CD009.

You could repair it, but personally just save yourself the time and get the upgraded transmission. Z1 Motorsports in Carrolton, GA have these trans in stock.

 

Does anyone know of someone on this forum or another that has rebuild a 6mt? and how it worked out for them?

 

replace w cd009.. found mine w 60k mi on it locally for 500 bucks. Selling my orig trans for 450.. ahve 2 buyers already waiting.. so its a wash..my synchros were never bad per say, just wanted to make sure it was the best possisble part for my car.

moral of the story, look semi locally for a cd009 used trans and do a swap, done deal.
