Default 2006 transmission in a 2003

Will a 6MT from a 2006 350z bolt right up to a 2003? Ive read places before that it will, but at my local parts dealer I was told it will not. So what are the changes that need to be made to get an 06 manual transmission on my 03? Thank you

It will fit. Just remember to buy the appropriate pivot ball joint if you ever need to replace that (it's been known to break).

i read somewhere that you need to swap out the shifter bracket. i did this swap in my 03 z and swapped them out and it works out perfect. the pivot ball on my 03 snapped so instead of replacing that little part, i just found a cd09 tranny since my synchros were bad. if you search around on the site, you will see what im talking about on shifter brackets..

here is a link, i did what alberto did and used my old shifter bracket, the only thing is that you cant bolt the lower piece of the bracket shown in the pics. it works perfect for me but i have read that others used the new bracket that came with the cd009 and it worked fine.
