Default Question on oil burning on 2006 350z

So I just purchased a 2006 350z, one owner, amazing condition, with 40k miles on it. It is automatic. I read a little that people have had some problems with burning oil, but it seems like this is only with the manual cars. I can 't find anything conclusive on this, so does anyone know more about this?

It doesn't mean you should go blindly not checking your oil, ever.. but the specific issue you are referring does not apply to your car.

By the way - there is a sticky thread a couple notches up that will tell you every thing you need to know and a lot more -

Thanks a lot for the replies. I feel better knowing this issue does not apply to my car.

And there were not that many that had oil consumption problems, but is is a very vocal group who has had that problem.
