i purchased the car not too long ago and im very pleased the only thing that bothers me on this car is my AC decides on its own when it want recycled air or fresh air from outside i live in miami and with the traffic here i dont want to inhale outside fumes watch the video and tell me if you have seen this before and what needs to be fixed/repaired im thinking its the vacuum or the ac controls?

Behind that panel is a ribbon cable that plugs in behind those 3 HVAC *****. My guess would be that the cable is damaged, or hopefully just not seated in the plug correctly. Especially if the car has ever had an aftermarket stereo, it would be completely possible that the cable got pinched at some point and either the insulation rubbed off or the cable got folded and a wire or two broke internally. Seems to me like this is most likely, easiest to check, and easiest to fix, so I'd start there.

 

Not good if something is wrong with your unit.

 

Dude my '05 did the same thing! What year is your car?
I took it to the dealership and they thought I was crazy lol so nothing was diagnose.
Totaled that car so I don't have this problem with my '07 but bro I totally understand where you're coming from even though people thinking you crazy or your car is possessed!

EDIT: Never mind just saw your video. That video proved you're not crazy.
Mine is completely different, AC will turn on by itself even when it's positioned off!

 

Its an 03 weird as hell I checked cable looks fine I just put new shiftboot and checked
