Unhappy Need help: Rotational noise in rear

I have a noise an i need help before i hand it into dealership for repair
I dont ask for help often and try to help others on here so hopefully i can get pointed in right direction

Thank you!

2004 Z
M/T
<80,000 miles

Noticed a noise while driving about 40 miles after new set of wheels put on

Noise trailed me to the FRONT PASSENGER side wheel

Noise progressively got LOUDER so decided to swap FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS
*Replaced both front wheel bearings

Noise continued to get louder after install and as it got louder it made itself clear that it was coming from the REAR PASSENGER side
*Replaced the wheel bearing

Noise still persists

Rotational noise, more noticeable when i turn RIGHT, almost silent when i turn LEFT, on straight roads with a groove in road if i ride it right and hold the wheel a little left its silent!
The noise progressively got worse, started out as hard to tell where it was coming from

bad rotor? no vibration when braking
stuck caliper? rotors dont seem extremely hot after driving
bent wheel?
axle?

Thank you

you think that would progressively get louder over miles driven?
It was barely noticeable rotational noise and now its pronounced even to people not in the car

I had the bearing/hub and brakes in the rear off today, shield looked fine and straight and not rubbing on rotor on a free spin

I had something similar. I didn't have it with my other set of wheels/tires, so I had my tires rebalanced (even though the tires were *just* purchased & installed), and one of the tires was not balanced properly. *******s.

Would a unbalanced wheel get worse if keep driving on it?

I didnt realize how much i am bothered when my car is not acting right, its like being sick!

It depends. My car felt it more during certain speeds. When it was slow or really fast, I didn't feel/hear anything, but during "normal" speeds... woo woo wooo woo. Annoying!

Good luck

I had the same problem when turning in the opposite direction. It could possibly be your left rear wheel bearing because of weight transfer while turning right

Yes, this hit me in the head last night as i was typing, its easy to say things later but i guess sometimes you get to learn the "hard" way

well problem solved

turns out my Z didnt actually need anything

loose axle nut

i bought the 5th bearing (since the guy that pressed messed up #4) and when i went to take the REAR DRIVER side i noticed the axle nut backed out close to the cotter pin

ended up tightening it down, test drive, problem solved, i will hold onto my extra bearing, my hands are beat up from all this troubleshooting and bearing swaps!

i guess i got some "80k maintenance" done with new bearings
