Scraped the bottom of my car
Just bought my 04 350z and I parked it into my backyard which has a small incline when you enter pass the gate. I drove it in forward and it was fine, but last night I backed up into it and it killed the railing that the metal gate runs along.
The railing is completely wrecked and lifted from the concrete. I took a quick look under my car and it seems okay. Do you guys think scraping the railing could do any damage to my car?

Any idea what the railing hit? Figure out what part under the car hit the rail and just check to make sure nothing is damaged. Most likely everything will be fine, but there's always that small chance.
There's not too much under the car besides some exhaust piping, the drive shaft (no chance of it hitting), a bunch of random frame metal, the muffler, some suspension parts (which would not hit since it moves along with the wheels), and the oil pan. I usually always hit my cats on big bumps :/

Probably nothing wrong. The scraping of a Z is just an initiation to the Z world.
The usual thing that gets hit is the exhaust/heat shield. That railing/track must be really high to hit your car.Is it stock height? So,what are you planning to do about getting your car in your driveway?Since you screwed up the rail, can it be countersunk in the concrete
enough for clearance?

My car is stock height, but its not really the rail itself that's the problem, there's a incline from the alley into my driveway that's the problem. I can drive it in forward into the driveway fine, but for now I'm kind of scared so I just park it on the road in front of my house.
width of the driveway limits the angle. At least, thats what the pic shows.
I know this would be a PIA,but maybe have ramp of sorts..piece or sheet of wood that you could drop down before to ease the incline.
Just store next to the gate.
By the looks of that gate, you must be really into security.
Looks like a drug kingpin's compound!
