I have a 2003 AT5, with 14500 miles. For the past couple months my transmission has been slipping (step on the gas, the transmission will down shift the RPMS will come close to red lining, but the car goes no faster) and only getting worse. I brought my car to the dealer (3) times. Every time I brought it in the service manger gave me the same old story “when we test drive it, it works fine” and as soon as I leave the dealer it would slip. I took it back Friday and took the mechanic for a test drive and demonstrated the problem. It appears I will be getting a new transmission next week. When talking to the mechanic about this he has said they have replaced a few manual transmission but t never heard of a automatic transmission that does it. I have never seen a post where anyone has talked about, AT5 transmission slipping. Is there any out there if so please let me know…..Thanks

Mine was replaced at 5,000 miles when it started making a lot of noise when in drive. It did not have your problem.
