Default What is in front of the Radiator?

Ok Silly question. Figured I'd get a quick response from someone on here. I recently had a front end impact that bent the hell out of the "smaller radiator" looking unit in front of the radiator. I have the automatic transmission.

Is this a transmission cooler? I'm going to replace it myself as I don't want to give Nissan any excuses to try to void my warranty. I am becoming convinced that Nissan is Satan.

Thank you in advance.

No it is an oil cooler. Should see some pipes going to the oil filter base.

Buy replacement from Nissan.

Thank you for the response. Should be a fairly easy thing to change from the looks of it. Mine is bashed in at the moment.

If you are being insured for the damage, replace it with the Nismo unit. The normal unit is very small if you ever plan on driving the car competitively.

Plus, if insurance is covering it, then it's free! Sort of.

No I'm not having insurance cover it. I had the front bumper replaced and painted already as well. Hopefully that thing isn't tooooo expensive on its own.
