Do anything to it recently?

You can always try the throttle re-learn procedures...

Yup, mine has been like that for years, happened after a test pipe install. Still happens with stock cats , HFC etc etc. gave up on it.

Possibly there is a light on the dash that has been on for awhile indicating the engine needs servicing?

Car had no codes or lights. The good news is here was the fix:
removed the throttle body and throughly cleaned the throttle body.
***make sure not to push on the flap in the throttle body, it will break the mechanical/electrical mechanism and you will be replacing your throttle body assembly***
I didnt do this but a friend of mine did.
thanks
