Default Maf sensor issue?

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum so Im sorry if this question may seem dumb but I got my Z a week a ago and I don't really know what's wrong with it. It's an 06 with the vq35DE but I was driving last night and once I hit the 2.5k rpm mark the car just started jerking as if it had a rev limiter, I turned the car off and then back on but it was fine after that. All the research ive done points it towards a bad maf sensor, Id just like to hear your guys' inputs on it since I dont have much experience with this car. Thanks a lot

The reason I mentioned it, if you hit the brakes and gas at the same time , what you mentioned will happen. Some aftermarket tail lights will cause that

Not sure, if serious
Are you saying the electric bulb is triggering hydraulic brakes?

Basically, but it would be hydro brakes with an electro switch that triggers the ECU to cut fuel.
