Default Dying after high RPM's

Ok so here is the whole story.

I put on a new air intake. then took it out today to see the change in the air intake. drove fine all the way into town and then I hit the highway, and opened it up ( only had 80 miles till E) and it ran good drove the HW for about 5 miles and got off and went to the gas station. accidentally put 91 in the tank but only put 42 $ worth ( stopped when i realized) then put 12$ ( the rest of the tank) with 93 now it drove fine all round town doing my errands and want not, then went to get back on the HW coming off the on ramp I hit the gas shifted and then poof the engine cut off. pulled off the side of the road shut the car off took the key out reinserted the key turned it on and started right back up pulled out into the HW and shift, shift, shift poof shut off again. parked it went and got a formula to take water out of gas, and also got a octane boost formula, put it in, let it idle for 2 mins and then tried it again same thing .... crusing it seems to be fine but when put it to the floor it shuts off why is my Z doing this is it becuz of the gas? did I blow a sensor?

Dont really think formula to take water out of gas is necessary at all. Is the CEL on? if so did you pull the codes? Does your new intake use the MAF sensor or did you just leave it hanging in the bay?
