I have an issue I can't resolve on my 2003 350z Touring 6 speed and thought you guys might be able to help me out.
Bought the car in March of this year and the car worked fine up until a couple of months ago.
The issue started when I was driving down the highway with my cruise control set and it suddenly cut off. I reset the cruise and it worked just fine. Next day same issue except this time it would keep cutting off and the cruise Set light blinked fast and now the cruise wont even set, the Set light just blinks. Ignored the cruise control issue since my car still worked fine for a couple of weeks. Now, I am the type of person who floors it every chance I get, not speeding but mainly accelerating fast when merging on to the highways. Well, one day I got on the highway, car accelerating fine, parked the car for a couple of hours and when I got back in it it hesitated when I would floor it, not while accelerating normally, just with WOT. SES light didn't come on and has never come on. It would do fine till about 3-4k rpms and was different in every gear. First I thought it was the MAF so I had it replaced but didn't fix the issue. I also replaced the spark plugs(not to try and fix the problem, it was just time for them to be replaced). From searching my issue sounded very similar to many people that had a throttle body go bad, so I decided to clean it and while I had the throttle body out I also cleaned a little bit of the intake manifold that I could reach. After I cleaned the TB, it seemed to fix my problem and it worked fine for about 30 miles and the problem came back. Figured I had a bad throttle body so I got it replaced but it did not fix my issue. Have taken it to a couple of mechanics, they can't figure it out as it is not throwing any codes. One suggested it could be my cats were bad so I replaced them with test pipes but it still did not fix my problem. Then he suggested I got a bad TB from the parts store so I replaced it again, and once again it didn't fix it. I also read on some forums about aftermarket LED light causing this issue but my car came with the LED lights and was working fine with them.
Any body have any suggestions as what my problem could be? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
