Very first time posting here so more than likely in the wrong posting area. But a link for further issues would be nice.

03 Z, ~105,000 miles,6m. So,I took my Z in to my local Nissan dealer and they first replaced my BCM,which to my knowledge did nothing at all. Got the car back and about 2-3 days later it stopped running alltogether. Towed it back and took them a few days to figure it out. Turns out it was the IPDM the entire time. So that was grand down the whole.

I was ultimately told that the IPDM and main engine harness were water logged/corroded beyond repair. Quoted at $5,000 to fix them both. But only 1 of the clips is damage, per the tech. I asked about just getting a new/used IPDM and was told that it could either last me a day or til the car was dead, but not a definant answer.

So,my question is this: Do you techs or community in general think its worth just getting a new/used IPDM and possibly cutting the harness right where the damage is at the plug? I'd rather not spend the money if nothing is going to work. It was one of the white clips at the bottom of the box.
