I recently noticed my rear brake lights a d tag lights stay on when the car is turned off draining my battery and leaving me stranded I can't figure out why this is happening due to me being a new owner, my car is a 2003 touring edition any help is appreciated

 

Looks like a stuck brake light switch.

 

The brake light switch moves around I'm pretty sure that isn't it since the tag lights stay on too

 

Is your 3rd brake light on?

 

Nope just my back 2 lights and my tag lights doesn't make any sense

 

Anyone have a clue about this?

 

is it brake lights or tail lights? i.e. are they 'brighter' than just the normal tails?
