Default RPM moves with no acceleration

I just installed the JWT clutch and light weight flywheel. When I hit the gas in any gear the RPM rises but there is no acceleration. It doesn’t happen all the time. This happened a few times before I replaced the clutch and figured it would go away, but now it is way worse and happens more and more.

I have been reviewing the Forums and most say it’s a clutch issue. This happened with my old clutch and now the new one, so I’m kinda lost.. Any ideas??

Doesnt necessarily mean the clutch is seated right. This could be a problem with either your clutch plate or flywheel not being the right distance from the other.

If you did the work I would take everything apart and look for discrepencies - if a shop did this then take it back and have them fix it.

I don't know if a check engine light would go on with this issue.

you might have to adjust your clutch pedal

I cleaned my air flow sensor, it had some water in it and I adjusted my pedal out as far as it would go and I have been driving around all day and I couldn’t repeat the problem.

Thanks for all the replies.

The solution seems almost too simple!
