Question Headlight Problem

Noticed my left headlight went out a couple of days ago and I found water inside of it not much but enough to cause a problem. Water prob got in due to the plastic covering I'm missing above the wheel. Headlight is working again but I was wondering is there a way to dry the inside out without completely taking the whole headlight apart which I prob can't do without baking it..any ideas?

without taking apart and only a little water? I suggest you just remove the headlight, remove all the back piece and let it sit outside to air dry. See if that works or not.

It's usually your ballast is shorted. Probably need to get a new one. Also go get a liner over your wheel.

Since the headlight is now working, it probably did dry-out. However, you probably can expect this to happen again unless you determine what caused the first occurrence. That might mean a disassembly to discover the last “dousing.” If it’s obvious already (you mention noticing something), fix-it so you don’t have the light go out again and to avoid inevitable damage (that always happens when moisture invades a place where it should not be).

rockauto.com has the fenderliners for a great price. A few months ago I bought a pair for my '08, and they were ~$40 shipped. Not exactly OEM, but you'll never notice the difference, and the fit is perfect.
