Steering wheel clicking noise
Anyone have any clue as to why the steering wheel would making a clicking sound when turning it right? I searched and couldn't find anything at all.
If need be i will try to make a video and post it. The sound is not real loud just bothers me, because I am OCD. Thanks guys
*Edit* Made a video displaying the sound, but the audio isn't very good

That sounds like a worn out clock spring. It's a fairly easy fix if you feel comfortable pulling off your steering wheel. The spring itself is around $100. It's a wound-up piece of ribbon cable that connects your steering wheel controls to the harness in the ignition compartment. The best way to do the job is to lock the steering wheel, mark its position from the wheel to the shaft trim with tape and use an X-acto knife to cut the tape at the gap. This will give you the exact placement of the steering wheel when you re-mount it. Disconnect the neg. battery cable, since you'll be removing the airbag, use a tamper-proof T-27 bit to remove the airbag cover, and go from there. If your wheel is stuck on tight, you'll need to get a steering wheel puller (you can probably rent one from a parts store). Consult the FSM for your trim and year for the full procedure.
I'm guessing it'll cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 to get it fixed at a dealership.

I'll check out the part nomenclature when I get home tonight. I have one at home (needed it when I was de-Boseing my car).

What we call a "clock spring" is known as a "Body Combination Switch" at the parts counter. This is an example:

Check around the web.....can be found for $100-$150. I would only buy this part new, since there's a lot of small wire paths in there that can become corrupted and would be hard to chase down in a used unit.

It looks like you got your answer. Sorry I didn't get back sooner. I had a look through my parts bin but couldn't find it - I must have tossed it in the garbage.
