Default Window Goes down when I open door.

Alright so I know there are MANY post and I've read around but none I've seen are like my issue. I'll give all the details.
So both windows worked fine at first then driver side window started going out (I'd have to hit the door for it to work) I know, the motor, so I replaced it and tested it before I put the cosmetic cover on, worked fine. I put everything back together and nothing, it wasn't working! Took it apart and everything looked fine. I was frustrated and just let it be. Then my passenger window too messed up (not even banging the door worked) but now here's the problem. I open the door and the window goes down about 3inches, closing the door doesn't do anything. I had to unplug the motor from the harness so it would stop. Yes, i tried using the window switches but I get no noise at all from either window. I'm guessing it would be the window switches for both sides then. Could there be another problem? Would it be the motors or the switches? I get no noise from either when pressing down. But only the passenger window will roll down when I open that door, so maybe that motor is okay.?

+1 on the reset and search for DIY's before you do something so it's done right the first time

I can't do the window reset properly if my switches don't work... The windows have to be all the way down, and I definitely did some searching and reading like I had stated.
