Default Wondering how my driveshaft is doin

Feel vibration in floor and mostly in the gas pedal. When I decelerate after getting off the gas I feel vibrations coming from underneath the car..which doesn't seem normal. In a low gear, when the tap the gas really fast, the whole car bucks like crazy. I'm thinking my driveshaft is worn, or may the U-joint? What do you guys advise?????????

Have you checked your sub frame, transmission, diff bushings? I would inspect those first.

Sounds like a motor mount. Your going to have to isolate the problem. All we can do is guess.

Are your tires wearing out evenly?

I completely agree with all you can do is guess. Internet diagnosis can only go so far, I do appreciate the replies so far.

Replaced the transmission mount bushing when actually I didn't have to, the one I had in there was not torn, but replaced it anyway. My differential bushing isn't leaking like others had said to check when inspecting the bushing. Are the sub frame bushings the 4 that hold up the rear aluminum frame? I haven't checked those, wondering how to test them?

I'm thinking engine mount too, but I don't see them looking abnormal. People have told me when they go bad they look terrible.

My rear tires hop violently during a small burn out and I have a stock engine??? My tires seem to wear out just fine. The problems in post 1 are with new, balanced tires.

check for black fluid leaking out the rear diff mount. check trans mount, and motor mounts. look for tears, rips, leaking fluid etc.

Your clutch might be worn out and you might need a need a new throwout bearing. My car shifter used to vibrate when decelerating around 3-4k. After I got a new ACT clutch and lightweight flywheel I didn't have anymore wheel hop and vibration. OEM clutch was burned out due to my Vortech.

I have 152K on the original clutch. It doesn't slip in high gears, but I've always thought about replacing it. My shifter vibrates like crazy!!

Chances are it is not your driveshaft. If your driveshaft were to be worn it would most likey be the aftermath of another problem causing misalignment.

Your clutch might be the problem with that many miles on it.

Replace your clutch and throwout bearing, might be a little on the expensive side if you don't do it yourself. 600 - 1k depending on where you take it, OEM parts included.

It's more likely the diff bushing and/or motor mounts.

You guys are right, I should replace my clutch soon. It's way over due for a fluid flush anyway. Hope that does help the issue, the worst part is my gas pedal vibrating while driving on the highway. I COULD LIVE without that vibration Hahaha

Now the hard part in picking a clutch setup!!!!!!!!

I actually wouldn't mind bring my car to the dealership to diagnose if these would be the case. I'm afraid if I go there, they will replace the parts even if they don't think that's the issue.

I hear a clunk noise coming from the engine bay right when I turn the engine over in the morning. Wonder if this would be an engine mount problem???

Back again with another thought. If a broken engine mount is causing my problems...I remember a few years ago I ran over a boulder of a rock in the road, it hit my front sway bar and rolled under the engine; the rock made a small dent in the oil pan.

Do you think hitting the rock could have broken an engine mount by hitting the engine oil pan and over the years the mount has gotten worse????

I've checked everything that was mentioned, what else should I be checking since I don't see any tears or fluid leaking from bushings mentioned
