Default Transmission noise, please help!!!

Ok my tranny has been making this noise you are about to hear in the video. It started off very quiet but now has gotten worse and louder. No one in the video could say what it really was, so just wondering if anyone here knows. Mods not sure if im placing this in the right section, please move if its not in the right section.

is that sound coming out as you start to engage your clutch?

if so, I think you've cracked your pressure plate.

I read JWT and was thinking the typical loud chatter. Then I saw the video holy hell man. That sounds horrible. Sounds like a bolt backed out, or maybe your pilot bushing is shot and your input shaft is rattling around. I had that happen on a friends 240. Sounded pretty similar. At idle is was fine, put it in gear and slowly release and it would make thus god awful screeching/whirring sound.

so its not the tranny its the engine. they have to change out the piston rings, flush the engine and clean it up. and that's to see if they can save the engine cause they aren't sure it's savable. my engine has been burning oil for a very long time, i always have to add a quart after every 2k cause it eats it right up. fml

Damn man, yeah I check my oil a lot just in case. But luckily my 04 has like no miles nor signs of this. I knew it happened with red-up engines but not the VQ

I personally like either both have good features and performance. Leasing can get you into a better car for less money. Only downside is you never own it.

Jesus, that sucks. I always thought the rev ups burned oil from what I've been reading on these forums. My heart weeps for you man. I'm going to check my oil right now, and you should get a FRS or a BRZ, those little buggers are fun as hell.

I want something automatic/paddle shift and a little more luxurious, I'm done with the sports cars for now until I can go buy myself a porsche or GTR. lol

But when your lease is up, you have the option to buy the car at whatever the amount left is. It has it's ups and downs.
