Question Low Profile Car Jack!!!

Hi guys I bought a low profile car jack last week I was really happy because it took me quite sometime to look for the low profile one... usually carjack selling here are all high profile which I couldn't slip it under my Z with the bodykit. So here's the thing I took it out put everything back together and I found out the front cup (Red Cup) is not connected I mean hold together with the jack... It can be take off very easily... is it supposed to be like that?

Also I found two old rings (One Black and One transparent) and one rubber black cup or whatever it is! Could someone tell me what they are for and where am I supposed to installed them? I read the manual and there aren't none info about where those supposed to go? Help would be appreciate! And photos attached!

Looks like the same one I got from Costco, mine came assembled except the extended handle needed to be put on. I would return it if it is indeed the one from Costco since that doesn't look normal.

The o rings are just extra oil seals, and the red cup is just an extra. Yes the cup just comes out if you pull up, a lot of jacks are like that.

Thank you very much guys! So that two O-rings are just for the oil seals, how often do I need to fill the oil in? How long can those oil last? What about the rubber thing? What is that for and where am I supposed to put it? And glad you tell me the cup is like that because I thought I bought a defect jack! It cost about US$150. here in Hong Kong is it expensive?

You should not have to fill the jack with oil.I have a jack that I've had for over 20 yrs.Never had to add any oil.Only time is when may have to take it apart.

The o-rings are for a rebuild of the ram. the black plug is to replace the red cup for more clearance w/o metal to metal contact on what you lifting up. use only jack oil in the ram (the filler should be by the jack handle connection to the jack). you shouldn't have to reuild anything untill you notice that the jack is not holding pressure. if instructions came with the jack, it should outline all your questions.
