Default Electrical: window motors, locks and seats dont work.

Hey guys, I've got some sort of electrical issue that started yesterday.

My window wouldn't go down whether the car was off or on. So I figured it was the motor. Then I realized that the other window wasn't going down either, and it wasn't till later that I found out my power seat switches and door locks don't work.

AC works. Radio works. All lights work.

The main issue right now is that my driver's side window doesnt go down a bit when I open the door, so the window hits the roofline. I have to carefully press my door shut. Theres no way to close the door from the inside, so I have to get in the drivers seat from the passenger side f***in ridiculous.

At random points, everything started working for a small amount of time yesterday. Now its all gone again.

This is what happened when all this started. I was at QT. The noise wouldn't stop whether the car was off or on. It started again after the video but it's not there anymore.

Sorry, the video is sideways

If anyone knows what I can do to fix this please let me know.

Did you check fuses?

Checked fuses, I think all this stuff runs through the BCM but I dont have the slightest clue on how to diagnose any issues with it.

You're going to need someone with a bi-directional scan tool to see if there's an issue with the Body Control Module (BCM). Could be a bad fuse, could be low voltage, could be a bad ground. Could also be your security system is on the fritz. Have you done any modifications to the car's electronics (i.e., aftermarket stereo install, etc.)? Also, what's the year and trim level of your car?

This same thing is happening to me. I took it to the dealer and replaced the relay switch for the window but it won't go down when I close my door now. I was told that the power seats are connected to this? True ?

BCM controls the power locks, windows, seats, and i think dome lights.

So the noise is coming from the driver controls? There aren't any burning smells? Of course Nissan had to get fancy with their window design so that you will cause damage by opening/closing (facepalm). I believe the service manual is up for download on here. I would go through the diagnostic steps in there. There are way too many variables at this point.

If i was pushing the passenger controls, the driver controls would stop making the noise and the passenger noise would start, as shown in the video. When I first open the door, the dome lights flicker, and then there is a burning smell. I can not tell where the smell is coming from. It goes away and comes back at random points. One time the smell came back under hard acceleration (I dont know why), and when I fill up on gas again Ill check.

Update:
The car would not start after several days of this issue. Would crank but wouldnt turn over.

Had the car towed to the dealer after it threw codes 1610 and 1612 for BCM and Nat issues. Turns out there was a corroded fuse in the BCM. Was a quick fix and car is working perfectly now as are all electronics.

Update 2: Electronics not working again. Going to the dealer tomorrow to see what else they can do. Hopefully I will not be charged too much more considering they told me everything was fine.

UPDATE: Wires not installed correctly under the seat, wore through, caused a short which ended up not getting power to the BCM which affected all the other electronics.
