Default Car went from running great to not starting

Was at an autocross today, everything working fine ans running great. I went to leave and my car wouldnt start. Thought it was weird sice the batt is new, but grabbed someone with jumper cables and that still wouldnt start it. The power seems fine.

The symtoms are just 1 click with the clutch in, i tried it without engaging the clutch just to see if it could be the clutch pedal sensor and it doesnt make the same click.

Here is a video let me know some thingsto check. Thanks

Did you check all the fuses? If they are good try hitting on the starter as it may be stuck.

Fuses look good. Ill have to jack the car up another night and smack the starter. Is that a common thing.?

I agree it could be the started I had a similar issue with an impreza. With my luck it needed a whole new started and the tapping on it didn't help start.

Good luck man!

Sounds like the starter to me. Try push starting it to see if it works just for grins...

Agreed, though the Z is rather heavy, so you will need a hill or someone pushing

If your battery is putting out good voltage, your hear that clicking sound, and your car push starts fine...it's the starter.

Quick update. Very easy fix once I had the time to get it off the ground. Was very pleased to see the ground cable had fallen off the starter. Guess I just have to find a nut that fits
