What's the deal with my window?
I haven't really had many issues with the Z but....My stupid window is messing up.
I searched to find out why it would go up and back down by it's self. I love the search feature.
Anyway I cleaned the motor and as the DIY said it fixed the problem it was faster then ever. The problem it only worked for about a week. So, I'm about to go buy a new window motor but the other day my Son shut the door and the window started going down all by it's self this happened without hitting any of the switches. I stopped it with the driver side switch while he held it with his hands and it went back up. It's done this a couple of times now.
The question is. Could it be something besides the motor? or Is this typical for a bad motor?

Yes I did the reset procedure and followed all the directions. It worked great for about a week.
I'm just trying to find out if it could be anything besides the motor. It sounds like I may just need to replace it.

I went through the same process… cleaning the window motor, “wow, it works great,” for about a week or two, and then it didn’t work. The result was always disappointing.
Replacing the motor fixed the problem. --Spike
