trunk not popping up very much and hard to open.. easy inexpensive fix? already wd-40 the springs and lifters.

 

Pop off the rubber cover and put some washers or coins in there, it'll help. It's the rig method for temporary fix

 

Replace the small popup springs first.





If you continue experiencing a problem, replace the lift-struts.



You can purchase aftermarket struts that lift more weight. You need this when adding a spoiler to the rear deck lid.
