Default Bank 1 Cam Sensor not coming off???

Hello guys yesterday afternoon I was working on my 2003 350z. I was removing the Cam Sensor on the passenger side, it was pretty easy to get to and I thought it was going to be a quick fix. I pull out the sensor and it was covered in oil. So I depress clip w/ a flathead screwdriver and by reading other users posts it should pop off fairly easy. So,I'm basically struggling to pull of the sensor from the connector. Any tips on removing the sensor from the connector? I just don't want to pull the sensor out with a pair of pliers and possibly damage the connector.

Thank You.

It's a PITA, they should be covered in oil...you really gotta press on that clip hard but be careful! Breaking that is not what you want to do

you shouldnt have to use a screwdriver. yeah they are a pain, but you should be able to use your finger. You arent pushing from the side like a normal plug, you want to push straight down with your thumb or something. like this pic. Once you hear it click, you should be able to pull it off the sensor.,

First of all thanks for the pic! Well I went to go buy some pliers and applied pressure to the clip and it did in fact pop right off. Now the connector won't click when I try connecting it to the new cam sensor. Any special way of putting it back in that I'm not aware of?
