Default Brake Problem - Help Needed

So i recently started experiencing some issues with the rear brakes.
I was on a hill and the car would barely roll back. I thought that was pretty strange.

So i stopped looked and everything seemed fine.

I drove the car back home which was about 25-30min of driving.

I came home. I looked at the brakes again and found out that the driver side rear caliper seemed to be locked up. Rotor was fried and cracked in just that 25-30min drive.
I didnt hear any sounds or anything it was strange. The heat coming out of the rotor was extremely extremely hot and i could not touch the wheel. Wheel was burning hot.

Its only the rear driver side rotor. I checked the rest of the brakes and they all seemed fine.

Do you guys think the caliper might of seized up on me?

Has anyone else experienced this before?

Your diagnosis sounds correct. Could be the hydraulics in the caliper, or just the bolts the caliper slides on. Take it apart and have a look.

Was it the caliper that was seized up?
