Default Overheating - No Air Relief Plug

Hello All,

Newbie Z owner here. Just got the car- 07, low miles. Stuck in traffic temp gauge hit the H. Read through the very informative posts on burping the cooling system. Went to undo the heater hose air relief valve - and there is none, I can see where someone removed it for whatever frikin reason. Question is,now how do I remove the air in the system? Remove the rad cap, jack up the front end and do the rev deal? I do not have the $ to put a dime more into the car at this time. Coolant levels ok fans ok. Once I start rolling again the temp goes to normal.

Thanks for any assistance.

The radiator cap is the air relief valve... You have air in the system so you will need to perform the "rev deal". You don't have to jack up the front but it may help. Remember to fill it from the hose on the pass. side of the engine in the back and have a big boy funnel for the radiator cap so you don't spill all over the place.

That sounds like cooling fans problem.

As it turned out - only one fan was spinning. I thought they both were when I checked. Took it to the dealer, and they replaced both under warranty. I would not have known bout the warranty deal if it wasn't for this forum...THANKS EVERYONE! THIS FORUM ROCKS!
