Any Ideas?
I bought my 08 nismo apprx 2 weeks ago. After having it a week, I started to hearing rattling and squeeking come from the back of the car. Every bump, big or small produces some kind of noise, some of them are pretty loud. The odd part is these noises only occur in the morning. My commute to work is about 40 minutes, and by the time I get there the noises have nearly stopped. My commute home... no noises at all, no matter the size of bumps in the road. It's like the car is working it out of it's system. Does anyone have any idea what can cause this?
Assuming the rear shocks are similar to the other models, do this:
Remove the shock absorbers, and disassemble the stack of bushings at the top. Note the position of the nut (how far it is from the top of the threaded shaft) so you can get it back in the same place.
Apply some lithium grease to the contact surfaces of the rubber bushings and metal parts. Reassemble the parts and reinstall the shocks. Don't tighten the lower mounting bolt until the car is on the ground to prevent damaging the bushing.
I've heard every kind of noise you can imagine coming from the back of the car because of those upper shock bushings, and greasing them cures the problem.

It has the parts that I mentioned need to be lubricated. If the rubber material is different from the OEM parts, it will probably solve the problem.
It's available from Amazon for $15.74 each.

Lube is always good. I used "SuperLube", which is a silicone grease. Also works great and lasts for a very long time on urethane sway bar bushings.
I cut the tube open and store the grease in an old Chinese take-out soup container. Much cheaper to buy it this way, and it's probably a lifetime supply (although I'm pretty old).

I don't know if you mean big outside suspension squeaks or little interior squeaking. I had the interior squeaking in the back of my car, sounded like a little bird every time I hit a bump. Turns out that the plastics in the back attach with a mix of 2 different tabs that go into the metal frame. There's plastic ones and metal ones and the metal ones were squeaking in the metal holes. Took it apart and sprayed WD40 on all the metal tabs and the squeaks went away.

I was going nuts and finally started taking apart my hatch because I thought it was in the strut tower because that would make the squeak when I banged in it. Took it all apart and treated That and put it back together but it still squeaked. So then I started taking things apart and driving to reproduce it. I finally found the source. For me it was the big plastic cover inside the actual hatch (it is the part that would hit your head if it fell on you while reaching into the hatch). Lots of metal attachments in there and with gravity pulling down on it it is more likely to wiggle and squeak. WD40 is your friend! Good luck!
the upper hatch plastic becomes stretched overtime and almost falls out, happened to me the first day i bought mine a month ago so i banged the plastic in till it fit properly and the clips will make a slight pop noise when its in right check upper right and left hand side pieces closest to the roof
