Wrecked front end Advice needed
Hello, Short story, keeping it simple... I hit a tire at 1am that blended into the middle of the road. I was able to slow down to prevent catastrophic damage but enough to damage a lot as well.
So with that said I have one a list of things I want to double check in case I forget anything when i start replacing these parts
2006
and two a question on whether I should replace my A/c Condenser
The front bumper was cracked
radiator support smashed
a/c condensor slightly bent
right rain guard ripped out
slightly bent fins on the PS cooler
cracked radiator (bent more than the A/c Condenser)
Cracked Fan shroud
I just ordered
New Hoses Mishimoto
New Radiator Mishimoto
New Thermostat Mishimoto
New Bumper Aerosync
New Radiator Support
New Fan Shroud
Im wondering if I should replace the A/C condensor as well or if a minor bend wont affect it at all. Also I bent the fins on the PS Cooler back straight pretty well, not perfect either. Im going to be posting a picture of the bent Condenser real soon. I already ripped out the bumper support, radiator, fans and took apart the fans to get them ready for the new shroud when it is delivered. Also another question is do I have to take off the headlights to get the full support off or am I ok. I know I need to take apart the PS lines to get to it.... damn you nissan for that lol.

I just removed the radiator support on mine to take the engine out. I asked the same question about the headlights when I was looking at it.
I don't think they have to come out but,
If you already have the wheel well shrouds off then its only 3 screws and one plug for each light to remove them. I took them off and it made for a lot more room and its easier to see what it attached to what.
I was also certain I would not scratch or damage in any way by removing them.
Hope this helps.

As for the condenser, I don't know much about those to say if the damage will make it not work or not. I can tell you that if you want to replace it you need a special tool to unhook the hoses that go to and from the condenser.
My A/C system blew a hose a while back so I just cut mine off on the condenser side of the special connectors and plan on buying a new condenser and ordering the tool later.
The special tool set is about 45$ online.
The new condenser I was looking at was 120$
This is what the connecters look like -
and the part numbers for the tools are -

and I hope you like pictures. I was google-ing random pics of the z engine bay to help me along
Here's a picutre of what it looks like with the headlamps out, and what screws hold them in.
Just noticed you never mentioned the year of your Z. Mine is an 04 Base model. If you have anything else it may be a little different.

Thanks for all the info it actually makes sense to remove the headlights now that you show me the picture. I am going to try to install the radiator and fan shroud over the slightly bent Condenser. I looked over the condenser and it isnt bent or cracked anywhere.
What did you do to support the condenser when removing the radiator support?
