For a few years now I have been hearing a rattling noise in and around my transmission. I honestly always thought it was my exhaust since the Agency Power singe never really fit prefect. And, the car has never had an issue shifting, slipping or otherwise to make me think there was a serious issue.

But as of late it has bothered me more and I thought I would ask if anyone had a clue as to what it could be. When I rev the car the rattle goes away and as the revs come down it get all rattly and as the engine smooths out it will get less loud and go away, only to return as the idle goes up or I repeat the steps above.

I wan to say it's been like this since the motor was rebuilt by Nissan 6 years ago. I know I should have said something then but again I thought it was the new exhaust.

I know GT-R's are known for a lot of transmission noise, but is this anything I need to worry about? Like I said, the car runs, drives, shifts and the clutch locks and holds everytime, just this damn noise.

Have u change your Transmission Oil lately ?

 

The transmission was replaced under warranty in 05 due to a known TSB for bad syncro's. The trans only has maybe 10,000 miles on it. The whole car only has 43,000. They also replaced the flywheel, clutch and preasure plate.

 

it's not a gtr but maybe a loose heat shield?

 

Flywheel chatter. It's normal.
