Default Paint issue, need help! 56K warning

This is my 05 Z. Has currently 74k on the clock and 24K on the motor.
When I bought it the paint was alright and had several spots where the owner tried to fix the paint.

This is how the paint looks now. I dont know what these marks are or how they were acquired. I wash/ wax/ seal-ish about every 2 weeks. I have not tried wet sanding but I wanted to hear the forums input before I took the next steps with either taking her in for paint or fixing it. The scratches on the roof are actually from squirrels that used to eat on there while my car was out of the garage ( now shes in the garage at all times ).

Anyone know what these are what procedure I should take to clean em up?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like clear coat failure. Which you won't be able to sand out.

A repaint appears to be the only cure, or you could wrap it?

Yeah almost 20 people have said the same. So now I need to see how much I need for a good paint job. I wonder if I paint shops allow me to ask for hard paint and more clear.

Im takin mine to a shop next week. The cheapest I've ever been quoted for paint is 1500. That being said, the guy who is painting it is charging 2100. But I have an aerosync bumper and shine JDM nismo sideskirts to be installed as well

This is sad. Sounds like you were doing proper maintenance... good luck with the repaint.

Any ideas on how this could be avoided? I'm about the same mileage wise and would hate to see similar issues.

My issue is how soft the paints the shop use tend to be. The last paintjob I had on my previous car only laster 2 years, since the paint was no match for highway rocks. I have no idea what the previous owner did to do this damage but it seems bad. Maybe I will contact a Mercedes paint restoration shop, since they use harder paints than nissan lol. Or I will wait to pay the Z off them with time just paint it myself by getting a nice booth set up at the garage for a couple weeks.

Mercedes actually uses much softer paint. Their clearcoats are intended to be more malleable (and thus mor scratch resistant).

Most major paint brands are roughly comparable in durability.
