mine did something similar i think. i had to valet my car last weekend, after reluctantly giving up my keys, i remember i left something in the trunk. so i walked to the lot and found the valet revving in 6th trying to find reverse, then he stalled it, then burned the clutch trying once again, until i told him to get out so i could park it. but the damage was done, not sure how bad but i was a few minutes late.
Anyway my car didnt feel at all the same. clutch engagement was a bit higher, and felt like there was less power accelerating, especially in first, and some in second.
i might have been tripping but it felt wierd. dont know what it could be.

i'll definately do the downshift thing, and the 4th gear thing. im pretty sure my clutch is still good just a little funky after being abused. it bogs in third under 20mph. thamks for the help. im sure its similar to OPs issue.

If it bogs or rpm shoot up I would invest in a clutch. It's a simple test but could lead to an expensive problem. Clutches and flywheels for the z are pricey around $700 or so. The pressure plate or throughout bearing might make noise but it's normal and doesn't hurt anything, it's just simply annoying.
I would go with Jim wolf technology clutch combo.. do it right the first time and you'll love it

I have read from credible sources that if a clutch is glazed from abuse it can be re-bedded within a few hundred miles. Read up on clutch break-in procedures, I believe you will want to downshift and use the engine / clutch to slow the vehicle down once in a while to help re-bed the clutch.
