clutch issue?
I took my car to the dealer for an oil change. The service advisor said I will need a new clutch. My z has 50k miles.
He said the clutch is catching high. And that I will need a new one in the next year... The clutch doesn't slip at all or anything. Ex) I test it by driving 35 mph in 4th gear and floor it, the clutch grabs perfectly. The clutch doesn't slip in any gear and never has. It feels strong.
Can anyone shed some insight?
I thought our clutches were adjustable and it's been like this since I got it... I thought in 2004 Nissan readjusted the catch point because people were having issues with the tranny.
Thanks.

Haha yeah I agree I will stop. It's insane how they try to push repairs on you. I just go for oil changes, my mechanic does everything else haha he is just too far away for routine stuff.

They also tried to tell me how aftermarket brake pads were unsafe and wanted to sell me oem of course.
I'm sure people fall for this stuff, and to change a clutch with parts was quoted at $1,400 plus tax
/rant.
