I can give you a ride in my 03 Mustang GT convertible and you will never complain about your 350Z again.

he'll never complain about the rattles or squeaks, the gearbox and shifting, the clutch pedal and how it takes arnold legs to push down, the sloppy steering and body roll. BUT he will wish the Z had a v8 and torque. HA!

(had two mustang GT 99-04 gens)

Very true. I do have an Auto in my GT so Im spared the clutch/trans misery but the sound, launch, and comfort of the GT make it almost bearable. The 350Z is clearly superior but v-8 Automatics can be fun.

puck77… I understand the problem you describe…. In fact the 350z is noisy. The coupe’s “station-wagon” design (with the rear wheels inside the car) allows noise to enter the car’s interior.

I also hear vibration noise from some of the plastic parts inside the interior. The fix is tracking-down the offending parts and making the fix. I’ve done this successfully.

I can't even remember how many times I've torn my dash apart hunting for this one seriously annoying rattle. Every time I think I must have finally gotten it, the d*** thing comes back! I'm gonna end up have the entire underside of my dash taped, foamed, dynomatted, etc. pretty soon!

It's been awhile since I had a V8 car but last summer I had a cj5 with a Chrysler big block it in running well over 400 hp and lots and lots of torque. It had an Np435 trans with a massive 1 ton truck clutch in it. Talk about needing Arnold legs for a clutch! That thing was a death trap but that motor sure would put a smile on your face!
