What is wrong with the Z, stalling?
Hey!
My 350z is acting up.
When fully depressing the accelerator the z seems to "sputter" or "stall". This happens basically everytime when accelerating hard. If it does rev up, it will stall for a while when the RPM's reach high 5 or 6 when it changes the gear. I mean that it dies and there is a significant "BUMP" as it is almost stopping for a while. That can't be too good.
Any ideas?
I made this video;

And there seems to be a few others as well
Car specs:
Nissan 350Z
2005
Automatic
Engine mods:
AEM CAI
Thanks guys!

Kickdown -
Urban dictionary: (Engineering / Automotive Engineering) a method of changing gear in a car with automatic transmission, by fully depressing the accelerator
Wikipedia: Throttle kickdown
Most automatic transmissions include some means of forcing a downshift into the lowest possible gear ratio if the throttle pedal is fully depressed. In many older designs, kickdown is accomplished by mechanically actuating a valve inside the transmission. Most modern designs use a solenoid-operated valve that is triggered by a switch on the throttle linkage or by the engine control unit (ECU) in response to an abrupt increase in engine power.
I've never heard of it either, but I've only driven manuals for my entire life.
That being said, what's the year of your car, mods, service history, etc. etc.?? Read the sticky that tells you how to ask questions in this forum. Thanks.
