350z running poorly after 3500rpm
So I have owned the Z for about a month now and it is running poorly. I have the car basically stripped down, no hood, bumpers, fenders or side skirts. I hooked up the headlights and brake lights only to drive it down the road. It pulls just fine in first and second up to 3500/4000 rpms... then becomes a slug. The rpms dont bounce around and the clutch does not slip. 6mt
I have not driven the car much but start it at least every other day. Today is the first day its been driven out of my cul de sac.
So tell me your ideas... MAF? Cat conv clogged? Worse?.... feels like its in limp mode but im not sure how to reset it...
There are no engine codes being thrown and the dash only has a low tire pressure light on.. one of the tires has29psi..
All looks normal

Did that.. just got back from a test drive. .. no change. If im rolling and push the clutch in and rev it exceeds 4k easily. But when trying to accelerate it will not. The rpms will slowly climb as will the speed.
dude I say ECU problem get it flashed for better results? Post some pics wanna see what u mean no bumpers or anything… was it a shell or salvage title when u bought it? also when u accelerate is there the vroom sound or a clogged sound?
I would clean the maf and see if that helps. Unless you already have done so... I had an issue like that onmy beater and it wouldn't really accelerate over 3.5k and I cleaned so it works now
The car had a funky body kit installed on it. I took the kit off and drove it without a front bumper, rear bumper, or fenders or hood. Just to drive it and warm the engine up. Ill clean the maf but wondering what else it could be.
