gas gauge sender resistance #s
so I seem to be having a gas gauge problem like many others here. I fill up the tank til lit spills over and still the gauge will not go above ~3/4.
I tried the Q-tip method and it did not work at all. I took out both senders and measured the resistances. passenger(pump side) was 3-80 ohms and driver was 3-45 ohms.
I saw only one other person who took a passenger side measurement and it was the same but they also had a fuel gauge problem so I am wondering if anyone ever checked the driver side resistance. I would like to isolate the problem and not just blindly throw money and replace things unnecessarily.
If anyone else has checked these resistances before please let me know. thanks!
