So, the shop had it for three days trying to diagnose the noise but could not figure out what it was.
They said it's not a bearing or from the valve-train. They changed the oil to Mobil 1 and said to drive it around and see. I recorded a video with the noise still present but could not attach it because the file is too large.

I took it autocrossing today and when I returned home I could swear the noise is almost gone! I don't know if this is temporary or what, very strange!
Maybe it just needed to be opened up and revved!

I'll wait and see.

Same issue on purchase of car but i didnt care because i was going to pull the engine anways... Ended up driving the car because i fell in love with it just sitting in my drive way and i threw some Lucas in there like someone stated before and knock/tick level was brought to a lower decible but still noticable.

Brought it to a local nissan dealership and they gave me a price quote of 7k to rip the engine apart and the mechanic stated "drive it till it dies, your engine already has 130 on it so there is no point in breaking it down and re-building if u have plans to swap" <-- my reply was "is there any mechanical failure that is possibly going to happen" he said " i cant promise you anything but i would drive it" <==So what he ment to say was he had no idea what was wrong and the price quote they gave me was for a short block pull and total re-build because he had no idea haha

Regardless since i have bought the car with roughly 128k miles i have monitored the oil and had no issue but i have also only put about 5k miles on the car. I will be driving the car when i get back from deployment all the way from maine to cali so i will definatly keep my fingers crossed and let u know if there are any further issue with the knock.

I also do get the rattle from the clutch when its not depressed. If anyone has a easy/quick solution for this i would love to hear it.
