Smoke under the car
Last week I got lazy and had my oil change at an exxon oil change places , they suggested i should also change the differential fluid . Initially I said no but like any salesman the guy kept pushing and I said ok . I didnt use the car all week until today and all of a sudden i feell this hard shaking and smoke coming from under the car . When i saw the smoke i could swear it was coming from the differential, and I am sure it has something to do with the differential service. What could they possibly have done wrong and how much do you think it would cost me if in fact the differential is blown?
It is entirely possible they forgot to put oil in the differential. You might check your level and see if you have any oil. If thee is no oil, I would file a claim with the oil change place.
