I recently bought my 350z about 2 months ago car ran great till today. I was driving on the highway and as i accelerated the car sputtered making the rpms go up in a bouncing fashion. The car felt held back, it happens everytime i accelerate. it happens in every gear 1st - 6th gear. When the car is in idle it makes a popping noise its very hollow and it effects the exhaust note drastically. Sounds as if the car is misfiring. Is this a spark plug/ coil replacement or is this something more serious. PLS help.

 

Read the code ur engine is putting out. Kinda sounds like a misfire from ur explanation but who knows. If ur engine code is 030x then its a misfire if the last number is anything but a 0 then that's the cylinder that's misfiring. When mine mid fired it was just a coil pack but idk what urs is

 

Sounds like a bad coil pack to me but try the spark plugs first. Some Z's Misfire at idle due to a lean idle condition, common issue from day 1.
