Hey all,

I have a bunch of left over parts from a recent engine build(pistons,rods,water pump etc). I was wondering whats a good cleaning agent to clean up those parts before I sell them without harming the seals or metals.

I personally would just use brake cleaner

 

That was my first thought.Just didnt know if it had any effects on anything..You know how funny our motors like to be. Thanks man

Simple Green is safe on just about everything, and you can adjust its strength by diluting with water. I don;t think you're going to find a lot of interest in those used parts, though, but I might take a piston for a paperweight.

 

brake cleaner should do the trick.
